Gene Atwood is board certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar Board of Bar Examiners. He is also AV rated, the highest rating awarded to attorneys by Martindale-Hubbell ®

Mr. Atwood’s practice is focused on litigation of disputes involving the construction industry, business entities, and real estate. He also drafts and reviews construction contracts. His experience includes litigation and arbitration of disputes involving construction defects, delay, and defective performance claims, as well as construction lien claims and defective design claims. He has represented owners, contractors, design professionals, municipalities and government authorities in various defective performance settings, and contractors, design professionals and governmental agencies in procurement disputes. He has represented investing members and managing members of various business types with respect to business disputes. He has also represented title companies, banks, and business entities concerning real estate disputes.

Prior to receiving his J.D. in 1997, Mr. Atwood worked in the commercial construction industry as a project manager for nearly twenty years.
